Are you a film fan who loves documentaries? Do you live near the centre of Sheffield, and have a spare room in your flat or house?
Doc/Host is a connecting service to pair emerging filmmakers with Sheffield locals who can offer accommodation during the festival. You can play a key role in making Sheffield’s international documentary festival more inclusive by hosting a filmmaker in your home during Sheffield Doc/Fest 2018, taking place 7-12 June.
It’s a terrific way for local residents to make a meaningful difference by supporting documentary storytelling from a wider range of voices.
We’ll reward you with two (2) x Doc/Lover wristbands worth over £120 giving each wearer access to 12 films in the programme.
To be a Doc/Host, you’ll need to:
Live within 1.5 miles of Sheffield’s Tudor Square
Have a spare, self-contained bedroom for your guest
Have a willingness to be a friendly host to a filmmaker between 6/7-13 June 2018
If you are interested you have until 11th May to apply.
