Hello, I am Frank Forman, of the Heeley Trust, a charity based in Heeley Sheffield.
Over the years we have fought for our local community to save important buildings with the local area of Heeley and Meersbrook, these buildings include:
Annes Grove school – 1890s built school comprised of an infant, junior and senior schools. One of the 3 buildings has been redeveloped into SUM Studios however the other two remain undeveloped. These would make fantastic film locations for films (horror especially) as they are in a dilapidated state but very safe structurally.

In 2013 we worked with a local group to rescue Meersbrook Hall, a 17th century ex Ruskin Museum and community assets, we were successful in doing so and have been able to grow and develop our adult learning courses on its site. Currently the giant old hall is a quarter occupied and we are working to use the other space alternate uses. We have recently had some interest from a local film maker in using the space for his short film. He has given me information on organisations such as yourselves who may also be able to help advertise the space we have available to shoot in. The building has been used by the Sheffield City Council for the past 50 years and as such does not resemble much of the original interior. You can see some images of the old Hall here:
We are always looking into new ways to fund our projects, we have many to choose from and many to support. For more information on what we do and what we have to offer please visit out Trust site:
We are asking for donations for using our spaces, some will need key holding so there is a minimum recommended donation of £50 per half day and £100 per full days use. This covers our time and the use of the space.
If you are interested or know any directors or film makers that would be interested in any of our space please do not hesitate to get in touch!
I look forward to your reply.
