A new very ‘hands-on’ ‘Directions’ seminar!
Neil Thompson is a camera engineer who started his career at the BBC, and then worked for many years for Sony Professional . He is now freelance but is also an Independent Certified Expert for Sony, and can often be seen helping out at trade shows, and leading courses at the Sony Motion Picture centre at Pinewood.
This is an awesome chance to get to know how to work with the Sony FS-7 and understand its’ cutting edge technology! We will be running an afternoon session exploring the use of Log type transfer functions and look –up tables for the capture of a wide dynamic range in cameras, with particular reference to the Sony FS7. We’ll also go through the Cine EI mode of working, and explain when and how to use it.
Neil is used to making complex technical concepts as straightforward and simple as possible for people who are focussed primarily on creating great looking images rather than counting pixels, so if you’re using the FS7 or are interested in doing so, whatever your level of expertise, you’ll be welcome.
