Filmmakers, a notice about an incredible short film opportunity, that’s free to apply to. 2 grants of £10,000 are available for the production of a short film (drama, animation or factual) with a Jewish theme.
The Pears Short Film Fund at UK Jewish Film was established in 2006 to create opportunities for emerging filmmakers, and to encourage the making of short films focusing on Jewish themes and topics that engage with British-Jewish life, history and culture around the world. Themes include (but not limited to) interfaith, assimilation, integration, asylum seekers and issues that connect with Jewish life, history or cultures worldwide.
The scheme is open to all filmmakers resident in the UK and is free to enter. The film should have a maximum length of 10 mins.
Some of the previous commissions (including Billy Lumby’s excellent, BAFTA nominated, Samuel-613) have been Shooting People members before, and we want this year’s pot to go to SP’rs.
So get your project pitches in by 8 January 2018. It’s a quick and simple process.
