Fancy £30,000 to make a short film? Want to spend time creating a compelling story rather than fund raising?
Well, we’re delighted to announce that the hugely generous Pitch competition is once again open for submissions from today, June 4.
Please help us spread the word as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the competition with additional courses, opportunities and help for all our filmmakers.
What is really on offer?
This competition is a unique opportunity for one winner to make a short film with professional production support in addition to a cash budget of £30,000. We offer a host of other reasons to enter too: masterclasses, residential courses and runners up prizes.
Finalists will pitch live to top British industry professionals. Once you’ve made your winning film, you will fly to Hollywood to meet top Hollywood industry professionals such as Tim Williams (film score composer of The Book Thief and Guardians of the Galaxy) and Ralph Winter (producer of X-Men, Fantastic Four and Wolverine) who’ll watch your film and give hints and tips on taking your skills to the next level.
We have advice and tips available to help you get started, videos to watch, if you still need convincing this is worth doing, and of course you can begin to prepare your entry by creating your account here.
It is a huge privilege to be a part of this industry and a part of the team that brings you The Pitch, I wish you well in developing an adaptation for the big screen and hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person at our finals at Pinewood!
