We’re selecting 12 filmmakers to each create a 3-minute non-fiction film, which will premiere at DocFest this June.
You’ll receive a £1,000 micro-budget, a 3-day residential workshop, mentorship from experienced non-fiction directors, travel and accommodation, and full Industry Passes for DocFest 2026 and 2027.
Eligibility: We now welcome applicants with a connection to Yorkshire, Cornwall or Wales -whether that’s where you’re from, where you’re based, or a place you have a creative connection to. Applicants must have 3+ years of industry experience or 3 professional credits, and must not be in full-time education. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented voices in the documentary sector.
