Our monthly 'Showroom Shorts' film screenings are free to attend and happen almost every month at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. Our monthly networking meetings 'Shooters in the Pub', are friendly, no-rules events - and they are also free and happen almost every first Monday of the month.
And we host the fabulous series of 'Directions' masterclasses too! Usually taking place on a Friday afternoon, these are not to be missed! Learn more about all of these events by clicking on the relevant box right here on this page!

“Directions” Master Classes
Usually on a Friday towards the end of the month, the 'Directions' series of masterclasses is one of the biggest benefits of SYFN membership! Become a member and enjoy these masterclasses, funded by the National Lottery, and meet industry-leading filmmakers and practitioners!
The Masterclasses are always followed by networking time over drinks and lovely food catered by Miss Adu's Kitchen!

2 Weeks 2 Make it
In the spring of 2016, 25 bands and 25 filmmakers set out to each make a music video in two weeks, from start to finish - without knowing each other and being paired together at random! Not always the easiest thing do.
Note: this year's competition (2016) is closed. We will update you when we run this in 2017. Stay on top of things by signing up for our newsletter!
